Music for Your Thumbs #4: "Prince Fleaswallow's Rap" - Parappa the Rapper

Parappa the Rapper is the true story of an inner-city, bipedal, dog-boy's (Parappa) quest to impress the humanoid flower girl he's totally crushing over.  During his journey, Parappa teaches us that many of life's lessons can be solved by droppin' lyrical bombs.  Parappa's skills not only pay the bills, but also help him master karate, learn to drive, sell useless junk (as shown in the video above), bake a cake, and--most importantly--bump his way to front of a line to use the bathroom.

Ok, enough snark.

Parappa is bizarre product of the 90's, but it was still a lot of fun.  Parappa was one of the first music/rhythm games (along with Bust A Groove to appear before the age of plastic instruments.  It was just so weird and different for it's time.  All the music is cheesy and downright strange, but that's what helped make it great.

Also, since I've been MIA for a bit, I've attached some bonus Parappa parody videos from Mega64 and Robot Chicken.  Vids/links after the jump.

Adult Swim won't let me embed the Robot Chicken clip:  Click here to see it!
