Remembering Nujabes

You'll have to excuse me if this post seems late but I just heard about Nujabes' passing. Jun Seba aka Nujabes was a pivotal producer in the Japanese Hip Hop scene. He was known for incorporating Jazz samples into his music, reminiscent of the New Jack Swing era of the late 80's and early 90's. His music was heavily featured in the anime classic Samurai Champloo. The Japanese producer had collaborated with several MC's here in the U.S. including C.L. Smooth, Cise Starr of CYNE , and B-More's very own, Substantial. Sadly, Nujabes passed away due to injuries from a car accident, on February 26, 2010. Hydeout Productions plans on releasing Seba's unreleased work in the near future. Check out one of my favorite cuts and the trailer to the Nujabes documentary after the jump.
